ASA

The firm’s partners are Accredited Senior Appraisers (ASA), belonging to the American Society of Appraisers, and have served on its review panel. The American Society of Appraisers has the most rigorous membership standards of any appraisal organization.

ASA’s in business valuation must:

  • Hold a 4-year college degree.

  • Complete 5 years of verified full-time business valuation experience.

  • Complete a 15-hour USPAP course and pass a written exam.

  • Pass the ASA Online Ethics Exam.

  • Complete a set of 4 Principles of Valuation courses on appraisal theory and practice and pass 4 respective exams.

  • Submit 1 comprehensive written business valuation report performed for an actual client within the 2 years prior to submission. The report must pass a critical peer review graded on technical competence and compliance with the guidelines set by USPAP, the ASA’s Principles of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics, and the BV Standards.
